You may hear marijuana called by street names such as pot, herb, weed, grass, boom, Mary Jane, gangster, or chronic. There are more than 200 slang terms for marijuana.

Marijuana Dangers

* Impaired perception
* Diminished short-term memory
* Loss of concentration and coordination
* Impaired judgement
* Increased risk of accidents
* Loss of motivation
* Diminished inhibitions
* Increased heart rate
* Anxiety, panic attacks, and paranoia
* Hallucinations
* Damage to the respiratory, reproductive, and immune systems
* Increased risk of cancer
* Psychological dependency

Marijuana as Medicine

Although U.S. law classifies marijuana as a Schedule I controlled substance (which means it has no acceptable medical use), a number of patients claim that smoking pot has helped them deal with pain or relieved the symptoms of glaucoma, the loss of appetite that accompanies AIDS, or nausea caused by cancer chemotherapy. There is, however, no solid evidence that smoking marijuana creates any greater benefits than approved medications (including oral THC) now used to treat these patients, relieve their suffering, or mitigate the side effects of their treatment. Anecdotal assertions of beneficial effects have yet to be confirmed by controlled scientific research.

Health benefits are well documented, from depression and anxiety relief to reduced blood pressure, pain alleviation and glaucoma treatment. It is not addictive, does not kill brain cells and is not a “gateway” drug - in fact, when pot is more available, studies show that the use of hard drugs like heroin and cocaine actually decreases. The bottom line for hikers: when your leg is broken from a misjudged boulder hopping attempt (pain) and a bear has eaten your friend (depression) and you’re lost because you forgot the compass (dumbass), consult the cannabis.

Acute effects of smoked marijuana and oral delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol on specific airway conductance in asthmatic subjects

The acute effects of smoked 2 per cent natural marijuana (7 mg per kg) and 15 mg of oral delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) on plethysmographically determined airway resistance (Raw) and specific airway conductance (SGaw) were compared with those of placebo in 10 subjects with stable bronchial asthma using a double-blind crossover technique. After smoked marijuana, SGaw increased immediately and remained significantly elevated (33 to 48 per cent above initial control values) for at least 2 hours, whereas Sgaw did not change after placebo. The peak bronchodilator effect of 1,250 mcg of isoproterenol was more pronounced than that of marijuana, but the effect of marijuana lasted longer.

After ingestion of 15 mg of THC, SGaw was elevated significantly at 1 and 2 hours, and Raw was reduced significantly at 1 to 4 hours, whereas no changes were noted after placebo. These findings indicated that in the asthmatic subjects, both smoked marijuana and oral THC caused significant bronchodilation of at least 2 hours' duration.

Does Soda Can Cause Cancer?

The Arguments That Diet Soda Does Cause Cancer
There have been many arguments that the artificial sweeteners in diet soda do, in fact, cause cancer. Again, the alleged cancer-causing ingredient is aspartame, better known as NutraSweet®. A commenter on an article titled Is Diet Coke Bad for You? lays out the "aspartame causes cancer" argument as follows:

"Aspartame/Nutrasweet®'s breakdown products attack the bodies tissues and create Formaldehyde which builds up in the tissues forever. Remember the smelly, eye watering fumes from the frogs you dissected in school? They were preserved with Formaldehyde! Formaldehyde is thought to cause cancer. Aspartame/Nutrasweet® also breaks down to diketopiperazine [DKP] which is proven to cause Brain Tumors! Brain Tumors used to be rare. Several of the rats in the original study formed brain tumors during their Aspartame/Nutrasweet® exposure. The researchers surgically removed the tumors and returned the rats to the study and discounted the tumors."

Another web article titled Aspartame Study Reveals What Mainstream Media Don't Tell You: The Deadly Truth about Sweeteners condemns aspartame on similar grounds:

"A new study of the Cesare Maltoni Cancer Research Center of the European Ramazzini Foundation has not only confirmed but further reinforced the results of an earlier study by the same research institute that found the artificial sweetener Aspartame to cause cancers and leukemia in rats.

The earlier study was condescendingly dismissed by industry and by the European Food Safety Agency as well as US FDA, but evidence of the damage done by the sweetener does not seem to be going away. If anything, the scientific findings overwhelmingly suggest that there are real problems that can no longer be brushed under the carpet.

The new Italian study finds that Aspartame, in doses similar to those found in a modern diet, when given over the whole life span of rats, causes an increased incidence of cancers."

Similar websites and articles can be found all over the Internet. The basic position being argued in them is believed by many ordinary citizens as well, from casual soda drinkers to doctors and nutritionists. However, there are a growing number of people who believe that diet soda may not be as harmful or cancer-causing as some claim.

The Arguments That Diet Soda Does Not Cause Cancer

Until recently, studies investigating the cancer-causing properties of aspartame were conducted on rats. While this is commonplace in research science, the conclusions of experiments on rats are always subject to revision based on comparable tests of human beings. That's the position being argued by a new federal study which concludes, interestingly, that people who drink lots of diet soda are not more likely to get cancer.

According to MSNBC, the study was praised by consumer groups and carried out by reputable researchers independent of any funding or ties to industry groups. In the study, 340,045 men and 226,945 women were surveyed from 1995-1996, of which 2,106 developed blood-related cancers and 376 developed brain tumors. These numbers were not inordinately high given how many people were surveyed, and no link between aspartame and the cancers was found by the survey.

Is Milamine Found Positive on Milk?

A private testing laboratory named Plasma Plus confirming the presence of melamine in a sample of Chinese brand baby milk products available in the market, the government testing institute acronymed BSTI and the Department of Chemistry, Dhaka University, are set to mount a wider surveillance on imported baby food. Although the government has imposed ban on sale of three brands of powder milk for the health hazards they pose, many more milk products are suspect, according to knowledgeable circles.

It is not surprising that a private laboratory has come forward in detecting melamine in a milk formula while the government testing laboratory languished in the periphery. But it is only upon the confirmation of the presence of melamine in the milk by government laboratories, that the Institute of Public Health and Nutrition (IPHN) can take legal action against the importers of hazardous milk. Three Chinese baby milk products had been sold in the markets without having been registered with the IPHN.

The penalties prescribed in the breast milk substitute (market control) regulation, 1984 require to be sterner by way of deterrence against hazardous import. And that's why a new ordinance providing for five-year jail term and a fine of Taka one lakh is being envisaged. The decisions to constitute a task force to go to the bottom of the problem of unchecked imports and strengthen mobile court operations to seize banned powdered milk are welcome; nevertheless, so long as we fail to re-equip and modernize the laboratories of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) to cope with their increased load of work, we shall not be able to stave off hazardous products intruding into our markets.

We cannot allow anybody to play around with baby food. Even though we are informed that no child in the country has been afflicted; yet, given that the milk products have been in use for some time, a scooping investigation is called for, to assess the extent of damage done to our children, and go about redressing it.

How Can You Differentiate Sex?

There are times when gays camouflaging themselves in woman image you are sometimes err in determining the real sex. Using make-ups and woman garments can change the image of man liken unto woman. However there are noticeable factors that you can scrupulously differentiate man from woman by knowing these scientific clues.

Body Part Clues
The acetabulum - the socket in the pelvis, which is used to secure the head of the femur - is larger in males than in females.
Another area of the body in which the difference between males and females can be identified during the examination of a skeleton is the head and skull. There are several characteristics that are visible different in the male and female skull and they are:

The chin is squarer in the skull of a man than that of a woman, who will tend to have a slightly more pointed chin

The forehead of the male will slant backwards where again with a female it will be slightly more rounded

Males seem to have a brow ridges whereas females do not.

All in all there are plenty of differences between the male and female skeleton and if the pathologist and anthropologist have a complete skeleton to work from they should be able to make a positive determination as to the sex of the deceased before they died.

Is Gingko Biloba Can Help Glaucoma Patients?

BRESCIA, Italy, March 2003 — Gingko biloba seems to improve visual field damage in some patients with normal-tension glaucoma, according to a recent small study.
Some of the 27 study participants received capsules of Gingko biloba extract for four weeks, waited eight weeks, then received four weeks of placebo; the rest of the 27 participants took the placebo first, followed by the Gingko biloba. Dr. Bliss Kaneshiro, an assistant professor at the School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii, was a student at Oregon Health & Science University at the time. Oregon State University professor Marie Harvey helped Kaneshiro with her research because of Harvey's background and expertise in women's sexual and reproductive health issues.

Some studies have suggested that obese and overweight women have a higher risk of unintended pregnancy than do normal weight women, according to Kaneshiro. Although multiple factors, including contraceptive use and its efficacy, may increase the risk of unintended pregnancy among these women, sexual behavior and the frequency of intercourse could also be a factor.

In a certain study entitled Body Mass Index and Sexual Behavior the result was, body mass index was not significantly associated with sexual orientation, age at first intercourse, frequency of heterosexualintercourse, and the number of lifetime or current male partners. Overweight women and obese women were more likely to report ever having male sexual intercourse (P<.001). This difference persisted when we adjusted for age as well as type of residence.

With the exception of ever engaging in sexual intercourse with a man, sexual behavior differs little between women of different body mass indices.

7 Healthiest Food

01. Migraine headache is caused by a combination of vasodilatation (enlargement of blood vessels) and the release of chemicals from nerve fibers that coil around the blood vessels. During a migraine attack, the temporal artery enlarges. (The temporal artery is an artery that lies on the outside of the skull just under the skin of the temple.) Enlargement of the temporal artery stretches the nerves that coil around the artery and causes the nerves to release chemicals. The chemicals cause inflammation, pain, and further enlargement of the artery. The increasing enlargement of the artery magnifies the pain.

Migraine Symptoms
Migraines are a chronic condition and a single episode can produce some or all of the following symptoms:

 Unilateral (one-sided) or bilateral (affecting both sides) headache

 Pain that worsens with physical activity

 Nausea or vomiting

 Sensitivity to light and sound

Prodromal symptoms (symptoms that appear before the migraine) such as irritability, sleeplessness, craving for sweets, feelings of elation or energy, and drowsiness

An ‘aura’ 15-30 minutes before the headache. The Woman Who has 200 Orgasms every day
UK’s Sarah Carmen, 24, is a 200-a-day orgasm girl who gets good, good, GOOD vibrations from almost anything. She suffers from Permanent Sexual Arousal Syndrome (PSAS), which increases blood flow to the sex organs. “Sometimes I have so much sex to try to calm myself down I get bored of it. And men I sleep with don’t seem to make as much effort because I climax so easily.”

She believes her condition was brought on by the pills. “Within a few weeks I just began to get more and more aroused more and more of the time and I just kept having endless orgasms. It started off in bed where sex sessions would last for hours and my boyfriend would be stunned at how many times I would orgasm. Then it would happen after sex. I’d be thinking about what we’d done in bed and I’d start feeling a bit flushed, then I’d become aroused and climax. In six months I was having 150 orgasms a day—and it has been as many as 200.”

She and her boyfriend split— and new partners struggle to keep up with her sex demands. “Often, I’ll want to wear myself out by having as many orgasms as I can so they stop and I can get some peace,” she said.

2. The Man Who Can’t Get Fat

Mr Perry, 59, can eat whatever he likes - including unlimited pies, burgers and desserts - and never get fat. He cannot put on weight because of a condition called lipodystrophy that makes his body rapidly burn fat.

He used to be a chubby child, but at age 12 the fat dropped off “almost over night”. He initially tried to eat more to gain weight, but it had no effect. Mr Perry, of Ilford in Essex, endured a decade of tests before the illness was diagnosed. It finally emerged that his body produces six times the normal level of insulin. Doctors have admitted that the condition would be a “slimmer’s dream”.

3. The Man Who Doesn’t Feel Cold

Dutchman Wim Hof, also known as the Iceman, is the man that swam under ice, and stood in bins filled with ice. He climbed the Mt. Blanc in shorts in the icy cold, harvested world records and always stands for new challenges.

Scientists can’t really explain it, but the 48-year-old Dutchman is able to withstand, and even thrive, in temperatures that could be fatal to the average person.

4. The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep: stayed awake 24 hours a day for years

Rhett Lamb is often cranky like any other 3-year-old toddler, but there’s one thing that makes him completely different: he has a rare medical condition in which he can’t sleep a wink.

Rhett is awake nearly 24 hours a day, and his condition has baffled his parents and doctors for years. They took clock shifts watching his every sleep-deprived mood to determine what ailed the young boy.

After a number of conflicting opinions, Shannon and David Lamb finally learned what was wrong with their child: Doctors diagnosed Rhett with an extremely rare condition called chiari malformation.

“The brain literally is squeezed into the spinal column. What happens is you get compression, squeezing, strangulating of the brain stem, which has all the vital functions that control sleep, speech, our cranial nerves, our circulatory system, even our breathing system,” Savard said.

5. The Girl Who is Allergic to Water

Teenager Ashleigh Morris can’t go swimming, soak in a hot bath or enjoy a shower after a stressful day’s work - she’s allergic to water. Even sweating brings the 19-year-old out in a painful rash.

Ashleigh, from Melbourne, Australia, is allergic to water of any temperature, a condition she’s lived with since she was 14. She suffers from an extremely rare skin disorder called Aquagenic Urticaria - so unusual that only a handful of cases are documented worldwide.

6. If you randomly pick a date from the past 25 years and ask her about it, she’ll usually provide elaborate, verifiable details about what happened to her that day and if there were any significant news events on topics that interested her. She usually also recalls what day of the week it was and what the weather was like.

The 40-year-old woman, who was given the code name AJ to protect her privacy, is so unusual that UCI coined a name for her condition in a recent issue of the journal Neurocase: hyperthymestic syndrome.

7. The Girl Who Eats Only Tic Tacs

Meet Natalie Cooper, a 17-year-old teenager who has a mystery illness that makes her sick every time she eats anything. Well, almost anything. She can eat one thing that doesn’t make her sick: Tic tac mint!

For reasons that doctors are unable to explain, Tic tacs are the only thing she can stomach, meaning she has to get the rest of her sustenance from a specially formulated feed through a tube.

8. The Musician Who Can’t Stop Hiccupping

Chris Sands, 24, from Lincoln, hiccups as often as every two seconds - and sometimes even when he is asleep. He has tried a variety of cures, including hypnosis and yoga, but nothing has worked. Mr Sands thinks his problem stems from an acid reflux condition caused by a damaged valve in his stomach. “If the acid levels are severe enough they are going to do keyhole surgery and grab part of my stomach and wrap it around the valve to tighten it,” he said.

Mr Sands, who is a backing singer in the group Ebullient, said the condition has hampered his career as he has only been able to perform four times. In the next couple of weeks –as of the day of the report–, doctors at Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre will put a tube into his stomach to monitor acid levels and decide if keyhole surgery is possible.

9. The Girl That Collapses Every Time She Laughs

Kay Underwood, 20, has cataplexy, which means that almost any sort of strong emotion triggers a dramatic weakening of her muscles. Exhilaration, anger, fear, surprise, awe and even embarrassment can also cause sufferers to suddenly collapse on the spot.

Kay, of Barrow-upon-Soar, Leicestershire (UK), who was diagnosed with the condition five years ago, once collapsed more than 40 times in a single day. She said: “People find it very odd when it happens, and it isn’t always easy to cope with strangers’ reactions. ”

Like most cataplexy sufferers, Ms Underwood is also battling narcolepsy - a condition that makes her drop off to sleep without warning. Narcolepsy affects around 30,000 people in the UK and about 70 per cent of them also have cataplexy.

10. The Woman Who is Allergic to Modern Technology

For most people talking on a mobile phone, cooking dinner in the microwave or driving in a car is simply part of modern living in 21st century Britain. But completing any such tasks is impossible for Debbie Bird - because she is allergic to Cell Phones and Microwaves.

The 39-year-old is so sensitive to the electromagnetic field (emf) or ’smog’ created by computers, mobile phones, microwave ovens and even some cars, that she develops a painful skin rash and her eyelids swell to three times their size if she goes near them. As a consequence, Mrs Bird, a health spa manager, has transformed her home into an EMF-free zone to try and stay healthy. ‘I can no longer do things that I used to take for granted,’ Mrs Bird said. “My day-to-day life has been seriously affected by EMF”.

How to gain fat?

Top 6 to Gain Fat by Lucas Wold

I do not advice everyone to do these exercises and its vices content but rather get the good side and you think it is beneficial for you.

1. Skip Breakfast

When you wake up, your body is craving food. This would be an optimal time to fuel up for a lean and mean day. Don’t do it! You want your body to think that it’s starving, so it holds on to as much fat as possible.

Also, the lower your caloric intake is, the lower your metabolism. And a low metabolism is the key to storing fat. Stay in fat storing mode by depriving your body of fuel. Store that fat!

And here are a few extra interesting facts from a University of Massachusetts study:

Waiting more than three hours after waking up to eat breakfast ups your obesity risk by 43%.

Eating breakfast away from home increases your obesity risk by 137%.

Not eating breakfast increases your obesity risk by 450%. (That would be FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY PERCENT!!)

2. Stay up All Night

If you don’t get enough sleep, your body will produce a stress hormone called cortisol. Cortisol leads straight to fat storage and muscle loss. You can maximize your levels by doing plenty of smoking and drinking while you burn that midnight oil.

Sleeping also increases that metabolism, we’ve gotta be sure to keep that tamped down. After all, the more fat the better, right?

3. Don’t Lift Weights

Pumping iron raises your metabolic rate for at least a day, which definitely goes against our goal of as much extra-soft padding as possible. It also adds lean muscle mass, which burns calories all the time! Lifting weights would be one of the worst ways to add fat.

Lean muscle also creates one of those shapely and defined bodies. But we want more of a cuddly teddy bear look, instead of that firm and toned athletic physique.

4. Do Lots of Long and Slow Cardio

When you’re moving slow, your body uses fat as fuel. Since you’ll get more efficient at using this fuel, you’ll keep burning less and less fat. Most gym machines will now tell you when you’re in “the zone.” While in “the zone” you’ll also wither away those pesky muscles, further lowering metabolism. Whatever you do, don’t push yourself.

Remember our good friend cortisol? Lots of steady-state aerobics help to increase our levels. This creates an ideal environment for storing fat. Woo-hoo!

5. Eat Plenty of Refined Carbohydrates

Our bodies absolutely love to store processed grains as fat. White bread and snacky-cakes will do wonders for expanding our waistlines.

Avoid all vegetables and whole grains, those are digested slowly and used as fuel. Better by far to eat refined products that enter the bloodstream fast and get stored just as fast. Bleached and processed foods are fat storing champions!

6. Go It Alone

That last thing that an aspiring super-sizer needs is a personal trainer encouraging “proper habits.” After all, who wants to know how to set up the machines or design an exercise program? If we use poor exercise form and get hurt, we can stay up all night and eat fruit loops. That’ll pack on some pounds.
"To gain weight and be healthy you need to consume more calories every day from healthy foods and choose the right types of exercise by Jegtvig S."

Health Benefits of Masterbation

Materbation is a typographical error It should be spelled as "masturbation" or ejaculation.
